Privacy Policy
This notice explains how personal data is processed when you buy from Optic-Vault or write to the shop. It is written for Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Slovak data protection act.
Data controller
The controller is the sole proprietor Optic-Vault, Slovensko. IČO: —. DIČ: —. Contact for privacy requests: the contact email published on this website.
What we process and why
To form and perform the sales contract we process your name, email, phone number, delivery address, the goods ordered, and the carrier you chose. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps before a contract, and performance of the contract). This covers order processing and shipping within the European Union.
To issue and keep the invoice we process the same order details and the payment reference. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(c) GDPR (a legal obligation under Slovak accounting rules). Accounting records are kept for the statutory period, which is 10 years.
If you write to us about an order, a withdrawal, or a defect, we process that message so we can answer and, where needed, meet consumer-law duties. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) or Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.
Card numbers are entered on Stripe’s payment page. We do not store the card. Stripe processes the payment as an independent controller of the card data and as our processor for the payment record. The cart in your browser stays on your device until you check out.
Who receives the data
We share the delivery details the carrier needs with Packeta, Slovenská pošta, and DPD. We send the order confirmation and the electronic invoice through our email provider (Resend). We do not sell personal data. These providers may process data in the EU or, where they are outside the EU, under the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
Your rights
You may ask for access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and a copy of the data you provided (portability). Where processing is based on legitimate interests, you may object. These rights do not erase invoices we must keep by law. You may also complain to the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov SR), Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava, Slovakia.
Send a request to the contact email published on this website. We may ask for enough detail to find the order and to confirm it is you. More on the sales contract is in the Terms and Conditions.
